About Korean House
Korean House is a korean restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina. It is listed at 122 College St, Asheville, NC 28801, which places it among the local businesses of Asheville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Iβve eaten here a few times and every time the food is great. My last visit I grilled meat and shared appetizers and a stone bowl. We really liked the grill and the stone bowl. I really love the little sides they bring with the grill. Lots of options for gluten free as well.

It was amazing. Fresh. Piping hot. Spicy as hell (I asked for it). Perfect flavors. Pretty traditional Korean menu. I'm a big guy, but I couldn't finish my bowl of soup. My wife couldn't even finish her stone bowl (an awesome experience btw). Our seafood pancake was outstanding. This was our first stop on vacation, and it might not be the last time we come here before going back home. I would say it's worth the two hour drive from where I live just to come here and eat on a day off.

Excellent dinner, if you want to try something different. We had the cooking table & ordered some marinaded beef, pork and chicken. Vegetables came with the meats along with the appetizers bowls with kim chi, bean sprouts, seasoned pickles and other items. Also ordered a bowl Yue kee jang soup and shared with our guest. They had never been to a Korean style restaurant and spoke highly of their dining experience with us. I asked for some spicy dipping sauce and they brought a bowl of spicy bean. After adding a little soy sauce to it, yum but not really spicy only a little spicy. When visiting Asheville again we will definitely return here.

Came here with 3 other guys and shared the family style Korean BBQ. We ordered 3 different meats that were grilled on our table in front of us. The meats each came with onions and mushrooms to grill and a side bowl of rice. There were unlimited vegetable sides that came with the meal. Our chosen meats were beef, pork belly, and chicken. The pork belly had surprisingly little flavor. I guess I was expecting something similar to bacon, but this didn't have a cured or smoked taste. The other meats were excellent as were the vegetables and sides. This was plenty of food to stuff all of us. 2 meats probably would have been enough since unlimited sides, but 3 was definitely a good amount for 4 adults. The service was great and the ambience was nice as well. It's downtown, so parking can be challenging, but this place is worth it. I'll definitely be going back again.

The food is amazing. I eat a vegetarian diet and they have many entree options that are clearly identified on the menu. Our waitress was phenomenal. It was my first time with Korean cuisine and she offered lots of suggestions and even a sample of kimchi that I could try before ordering. Just for the record, I LOVED the kimchi and the kimchi dumpling appetizer was wonderful. I can't wait to go back again and try some of the other vegetarian options.
